A unique motorcycle stunt launched a day of daredevil activity in Las Vegas, a city famous for its casino scene.
Renowned stunt performer Travis Pastrana rode through Boulder Station early Sunday morning in a pop-up event. He performed several motorcycle stunts as he passed through the main casino toward the Railhead entertainment venue.
This was likely the loudest event at the Railhead since Slaughter performed 14 years ago. Meanwhile, gamblers continued playing as Pastrana, wearing his helmet and competition leathers, rode past.
Video provided by Nitro Circus representatives shows a woman in a red shirt playing blackjack who barely reacts. This happens as Pastrana rides past.
The presentation was staged just hours before motocross athlete Colby Raha was scheduled to attempt a jump across the Caesars Palace fountains, an event marking the Omnia Dayclub & Skybar opening weekend.
Pastrana’s appearance at Boulder Station promoted the upcoming “Nitro Circus 2.0” summer tour. This was his only scheduled Las Vegas appearance this year. The tour will not stop in the city.
Nitro Circus History
Pastrana co-founded Nitro Circus in 2003. The brand operates under the Thrill One sports group. Station Casino owners Frank Fertitta III and Lorenzo Fertitta are shareholders, enabling the Boulder Station cross-promotion.
This is not Pastrana’s first involvement in a Las Vegas motorcycle stunt.
In July 2018, Pastrana successfully jumped over 52 crushed cars and 16 Greyhound buses behind Planet Hollywood, Paris, and Bally’s, concluding by clearing the Caesars Palace fountains.
This moment felt anticlimactic for those who had just watched video highlights of Pastrana’s Supercross performances.
Pastrana was promoting the Nitro Circus live show at Jubilee Theater at Bally’s, now known as the Horseshoe.
