UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hospitality will launch Nevada’s first undergraduate degree in sport hospitality management, the college announced Monday.
The bachelor’s degree program will begin in the fall. The college created the degree with business leaders to meet job needs in sports management. Las Vegas is home to more than 10 professional sports teams and often hosts big tournaments and championship games.
The program builds on UNLV’s hospitality management courses, ranked No. 1 in the United States by the 2026 QS World University Rankings. Students will learn about customer experience, managing sponsorships, making money, running operations, and leadership.
The 120-credit program includes an internship and classes like sport sales and making money, sport event planning and promotion, and sport rules and management.
The courses prepare students for jobs in managing game days, sports marketing, business partnerships, and customer service.
