Central Division rivals clash in Indiana on Tuesday night. The Milwaukee Bucks face the Indiana Pacers. Milwaukee lost 112-100 at home to Cleveland on Sunday, failing to cover the seven-point spread.

Indiana, coming off a back-to-back with a loss to the Hawks, fell 120-118 to Chicago as a 1.5-point favorite.

Historically, the Bucks lead the all-time series 117-96 and have won the last two matchups, including a 120-112 victory on December 31, 2024.

Milwaukee

Milwaukee has claimed victory in both encounters this season and will aim to win the series.

The Bucks, meanwhile, are also on a losing streak, having fallen to the Magic and Cavaliers over the weekend. Despite that, they have still won eight of their last 11 outings.

Damian Lillard has consistently scored at least 22 points in nine of those games and averaged 25.5 points per game this season. While he’s also contributing 7.1 assists per game, he hasn’t managed to hit the seven-assist mark in seven consecutive games.

Since the trade deadline, the Bucks have added Kevin Porter Jr. and Kyle Kuzma, both of whom can generate their own offense, allowing Lillard a bit of reprieve in terms of playmaking duties.

Nonetheless, Milwaukee’s offense continues to revolve around Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been exceptional lately, scoring 30 points in three straight games and averaging 30.9 points and 12 rebounds per game this season.

Indiana

With only four games scheduled for tonight, the Bucks and Pacers will be the focus of national TV coverage.

Last season, the Pacers triumphed in four out of five regular-season matchups against the Bucks and eliminated them from the first round of the playoffs in six games.

If the postseason were to begin today, these two teams would meet again in the first round, with the Bucks currently holding a slight edge for the fourth seed.

A key factor to watch is the condition of Tyrese Haliburton. The Pacers boast a record of 35-24 with their All-Star point guard, who has notched at least 15 points and eight assists in nine of his last ten games, proving to be a significant challenge for the Bucks over the past two years.

On the flip side, Indiana has yet to win without Haliburton this season, going 0-4 in his absence. He has missed the previous three games due to a hip injury, including a 121-103 defeat to the Bulls.

The Pacers had not released their injury report following last night’s game, leaving Haliburton’s status up in the air and something to keep an eye on.

Bucks-Pacers Best Bet

The Bucks and Pacers have nearly identical records against the spread this season, but they are playing better, going 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games.

They’ve beaten the Pacers by at least eight points in both meetings this season when Haliburton was in the lineup. If he doesn’t play, I expect that trend to continue since the Bucks have a rest advantage.

A rested Antetokounmpo is tough for most teams, especially Indiana, where he has recorded at least 40 combined points and rebounds in 11 of the last 14 matchups. Indiana is also 28th in points and 22nd in rebounds allowed to power forwards.

Additionally, Myles Turner has made at least two 3-pointers in 12 of his last 19 games against Milwaukee, who struggles defensively against centers from beyond the arc.

He’s also hit two triples in 16 of his previous 18 games against teams not named the Hawks. Take the Bucks and lay the points in this one.

Best Bet: Bucks -2.5 Points at -110 odds
