Raiders sign draft class as Kubiak’s first camp begins

Raiders training camp begins with the draft class signed, including No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza and cornerback Jermod McCoy. Las Vegas also added three veterans before Klint Kubiak’s first full-team practice.

The Raiders handled their final roster housekeeping before training camp, and the timing matters.

Las Vegas announced Monday it signed defensive end Patrick Johnson, linebacker Buddy Johnson and wide receiver Deven Thompkins. Those moves came as the Raiders opened camp with rookies reporting July 23.
