The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders in a “Black Friday” game at noon on Friday.
The Chiefs are coming off a narrow 30-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers, which showcases their ability to win but also highlights their ongoing issues with closing out games.
The Raiders are coming off a 29-19 loss to the Denver Broncos, in which starting quarterback Gardener Minshew was injured.
Las Vegas Raiders
With the Raiders sitting at a dismal 2-9 and on a seven-game losing streak, probably think the Chiefs are ripe for the picking.
Raiders have a history of trying to get under the Chiefs’ skin, and with the game being played at Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs will have the home crowd behind them.

Raiders QB Aiden O’Connell is stepping in for Gardner Minshew, who is out for the season with a fractured collarbone. O’Connell has shown flashes of potential, but he’s also been inconsistent.
The Raiders’ defense has been porous, allowing at least 27 points in eight of their games this season. The Raiders are 1-5 on the road and have shown little resilience in their recent outings
Kansas City Chiefs
This matchup against the Raiders feels like a perfect storm for Kansas City to finally flex their muscles. Motivation is key in this rivalry, and the Chiefs have plenty of it.
The return of defensive end Charles Omenihu and running back Isiah Pacheco adds an emotional lift to a team that has battled through injuries all season.
Omenihu’s presence on the defensive line will be crucial in pressuring O’Connell, who is still finding his footing as a starter.

On the offensive side, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is still the engine that drives this team. He’s completed nearly 70% of his passes this season but he has only thrown for 18 touchdowns against 11 interceptions.
In the last game against the Raiders, Mahomes threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns, and with the Raiders’ secondary allowing big plays, he should have ample opportunities to exploit mismatches.
Tight end Travis Kelce has been a reliable target, and with the Raiders allowing five touchdown passes to tight ends in their last three games, expect Mahomes to look his way often.
The Chiefs have been underwhelming in terms of scoring this season, but they have the talent to put up points in bunches. They haven’t scored more than 30 points in a game this year, but this matchup feels like a chance to break that trend.
Raiders-Chiefs Best Bet
If the Chiefs can get off to a fast start, they could build a lead that the Raiders will struggle to overcome.
In terms of betting trends, the Chiefs have struggled to cover large spreads this season, going 0-4 as favorites of a touchdown or more. However, this is a different scenario.
The Chiefs are also 6-3 against the spread in their last nine games as double-digit favorites, which bodes well for them in this matchup.
Ultimately, I believe the Chiefs will not only win but also cover the 13-point spread.
They have the motivation, the talent, and the home-field advantage to finally break their season-long trend of keeping games close.
Expect a statement performance from Kansas City as they look to assert their dominance in the AFC West and show the league that they are still a force to be reckoned with.
The Chiefs to cover the 13-point spread at -110 odds is the best bet in this one.
