This game between the Aces and the Storm was full of milestones for the two birthday twins in A’ja Wilson and NaLyssa Smith.

On Friday night, the Las Vegas Aces (17-14) started their three-game homestand against the Seattle Storm (16-15).

The two teams got off to a quick start, trading points back-and-forth. Chelsea Gray came up with a big three to add more to the Aces early lead.

The two teams tied three times in the first half.

Jewell Loyd then came up with a three-pointer to give Las Vegas an added boost. Dana Evans connected with A’ja Wilson in the closing seconds of the first quarter to give the Aces a 23-17 lead.

In the first half, Jackie Young surpassed her coach Becky Hammon to move to 5th in franchise history with most field goals made.

A’ja Wilson became the 3rd player in WNBA history with 20+ point games.

Chelsea Gray took a hard foul by Skylar Diggins. She went 3-for-3 at the line to give the Aces a 47-36 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, the Aces came out to build up their lead. NaLyssa Smith collected her 1,000th rebound of her career. The Aces then went on an 11-2 run with 3:32 left in the third quarter.

Seattle went on an 11-0 run to force an Aces timeout in the closing minute of the third quarter.

“It’s super important. We don’t want this game to come back and bite us in the end,” NaLyssa Smith said before the fourth quarter when asked how important it is to focus on finishing the game strong.

“[I was] Just taking what the defense was giving me. I’m glad we came out with the win,” A’ja Wilson following the game.

The Aces extend their win streak to three with an 90-86 win over Seattle.

The will take on Connecticut Sunday at 6pm PT.
