UNLV men’s basketball continues to bolster its roster through the transfer portal, this time adding another guard from the ACC.
The program announced that former Florida State guard Cam Miles has transferred to UNLV, according to coach Josh Pastner.
Miles arrives after a limited role with the Seminoles, where he averaged 5.4 points and 1.7 assists in 13.9 minutes per game over 25 appearances.
Now he has a chance to take on a larger role with the Rebels as they continue to build the roster.
Cam Miles on UNLV
Pastner, who is entering his second season with the Runnin’ Rebels, is coming off a successful season in which he coached his squad to the NIL Tournament, ultimately losing in the second round to Tulsa.
He emphasized the importance of Miles’ speed and fit within the team’s system as key reasons for the addition.
“Cam has great speed and plays fast,” Pastner said. “He really fits the way we want to play. He’s at his best going downhill, getting into the paint and creating for himself and others. He’s a dynamic guard who can score, distribute, and defend at a high level. His ability to push tempo and play with a running’ style is exactly how we want to play here at UNLV. We are excited about what he brings to our program.”
Miles was effective in limited minutes with the Seminoles last season, posting multiple double-digit scoring performances. With him in the fold, UNLV continues to build momentum in the transfer portal as it prepares for the season.
