UNLV Basketball, Takes Down Air Force Falcons In Women’s and Men’s Face-off

Both Rebels and Lady Rebels take down the Air Force Falcons on January 3nd, with a combined lead of 34 points. Giving both Rebel teams their first win in 2026. Looking to set the tone for the rest of the season. Showing that just because they aren’t powerhouses like Duke or Gonzaga, doesn’t mean they can’t make some noise in the NCAA.

Both Rebels and Lady Rebels take down the Air Force Falcons on Jan. 3, with a combined lead of 34 points. Giving both Rebel teams their first win in 2026.

The Lady Rebels traveled to the Falcons for their first matchup of the season. With the next being set for Jan. 21. This game did not disappoint with constant back-and-forth competition. With the Lady Rebels holding a 7-point lead going into halftime.

Holding their ground on the defensive end, they only allowed the Falcons to win one of four quarters, being in the last where the Falcons scored 19 points to the Rebels’ 18. This win gave the Rebels their ninth win of the season. Sitting at a 9-5 record, holding third place in the Mountain West Division.

On the other hand, you had the men’s Runnin’ Rebels obliterate the Falcons 67-39 at home. With their next matchup coming on Feb. 21. This game was not even close with the Rebels outscoring the Falcons by 15 points at the half and only allowing them to score 19 in the second. The Rebels are not just a one-sided team, having key players play on both ends. When this team’s chemistry gets great, they will become a force to reckon with. This win gave the Rebels a 7-6 record, pushing them over .500.

Both women’s and men’s teams are looking to set the tone for the rest of the season. Showing that just because they are not powerhouses like Duke or Gonzaga, does not mean they cannot make some noise in the NCAA.
