The Florida Panthers will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 2 of their best-of-7 Eastern Conference semifinals series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Wednesday at 7 p.m. PST at Scotiabank Arena.
The Maple Leafs currently lead the series 1-0. Toronto claimed a 5-4 victory in Game 1, with right winger William Nylander scoring twice early on.
Despite the Panthers’ Seth Jones answering on a power play, the Leafs extended their lead to 4-1 before Florida’s Sam Bennett collided with goaltender Anthony Stolarz, sending him to the hospital.
Joseph Woll, who came in as a substitute, made 17 saves and helped secure the win.
This is the second playoff series between the teams since 2023. Florida had eliminated Toronto in 5 games during their previous matchup. Regarding goaltending, Sergei Bobrovsky (4-2-0, 2.69 GAA) will face Joseph Woll (27-14-1, 2.73 GAA) if Stolarz is unavailable.
