The Sports Bra, a Portland-based bar dedicated to women’s sports, announced its Las Vegas location on Tuesday. The announcement comes nearly a year after plans to expand to Vegas and other cities were reported.

The Sports Bra will open at 4080 Paradise Road, near East Flamingo Road. The planned launch is in 2027.

“The moment I stood on that corner and watched the nonstop flow of cars driving by with locals, tourists, students, workers, and families, I felt it in my chest,” said Esther Taylor, owner of the Vegas franchise.

“This intersection is pure Las Vegas energy. You can see the Sphere glowing, you’re minutes from the Strip, and thousands of people pass by every single day. I knew instantly: This is where The Sports Bra belongs. This is where women’s sports deserve to be seen.”

The family-friendly bar and restaurant will feature games from the Las Vegas Aces and UNLV women’s basketball. In addition, it will show the upcoming Las Vegas USL Super League women’s soccer club and the new professional women’s hockey team.

Chef Jose Lazo will oversee the kitchen. He will offer signature dishes from the original Portland location as well as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options.

Jenny Nguyen is a former college basketball player and founder-CEO of The Sports Bra. She opened the bar in April 2022 with the idea that fans of women’s sports deserve a dedicated place to gather. They should be able to watch games, support their teams, and enjoy the atmosphere long available to men’s sports fans.

In the coming months, The Sports Bra will host pop-up events throughout Las Vegas to introduce the bar to the community.
