On Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders held a press conference to officially introduce head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek into the organization.
The two presented a clear vision of what they want to bring to the Raiders, as well as letting fans and those in attendance know about them as people.
A contingent of current and former players attended the press conference, most notably defensive end Maxx Crosby and running back Marshawn Lynch.
Lynch serves as a bridge between Carroll and the Raiders. An Oakland native, Lynch played two seasons with his hometown Raiders from 2017-18, but he is most known for his time playing under Carroll with the Seattle Seahawks.
Lynch was the primary offensive catalyst in Seattle for most of his seven seasons with the team, going for four straight Pro Bowl appearances from 2011-14. He was also part of their Super Bowl winning team in 2013.
Needless to say, Lynch was beyond excited to see his former head coach now filling the same role for his former hometown team. During his appearance at Carroll’s introductory presser, he made sure to let his feelings be known.
Minutes into Carroll’s opening remarks, Lynch could be heard from the back of the room shouting “RAAIIIDERS!” in support of his former coach and team.
“RAAIIIDERS!”
Safe to say there is some enthusiasm at @PeteCarroll‘s introductory press conference as the @Raiders new head coach ???? pic.twitter.com/ERc6olCJc7

“There ya go, there ya go,” responded Carroll before responding with a quick joke of his own. “Hey (Raiders principal owner) Mark (Davis), settle down a little bit.”
The exchange was one of a few lighthearted moments that came from the press conference, with another such moment coming when Spytek inadvertently looked at Carroll when discussing his former high school football coach.
Very funny moment in John Spytek and Pete Carroll’s introductory press conference with the Raiders. Carroll caught Spytek looking at him when he mentioned his 75-year-old high school football coach. Carroll goes, “Why are you looking at me?” pic.twitter.com/jT8P4zc77q

Hopefully, the offseason and upcoming season do their part to keep the positive vibes coming.
