The Las Vegas Raiders have changed course on Antonio Pierce.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Raiders announced that they are firing Pierce after one season at the helm.
The news was broken by Adam Schefter, who announced on X of the decision to fire Pierce.
Another change in Las Vegas: Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce, per source.

Pierce went 4-13 in his only season as head coach of the Raiders, including going on a ten-game losing streak that saw the team not win a single game in October or November.
Pierce was hired full-time after serving as the interim head coach in 2023 in place of Josh McDaniels. He went 5-4 that season, including a surprising victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
Unfortunately, Pierce’s decision-making miscues plagued much of the season, which did not help amidst the injuries and inconsistency at the quarterback position.
Including interim coaches, the Raiders will now be searching for their tenth head coach in the last 16 seasons.
UPDATE: The Raiders have released a statement on X regarding Pierce’s firing.
