The Aviators closed the book on their six-game series with Salt Lake in emphatic fashion Sunday afternoon, rolling to a 10-4 win at Las Vegas Ballpark. With the victory, Las Vegas claimed three straight to finish the set at 3-3 and improved to 14-11 on the season.

Las Vegas struck early and never trailed, building a six-run cushion in the first two innings before turning the game over to a bullpen that delivered five shutout frames.

Fast start sets the tone

After Henry Bolte reached and aggressively moved into scoring position in the first, a wild pitch brought home the game’s opening run. Two batters later, Joey Meneses lined a solo homer to left to make it 2-0.

Salt Lake answered with a run in the second, but the Aviators responded immediately. Drew Swift singled home Junior Perez, and then Bolte launched a three-run homer to center. His seventh of the season pushed the lead to 6-1 and gave Las Vegas firm control.

Although the Bees chipped away, including a two-run homer from Yolmer Sánchez in the fourth, the Aviators continued to apply pressure. In the fifth, Brian Serven doubled home a run and Perez followed with a two-run homer to stretch the margin to 9-4.

Las Vegas added one more in the eighth when Brett Harris lined a run-scoring double to left, capping a 14-hit afternoon.

Balanced attack backs bullpen

Bolte finished with two hits and three RBI, while Meneses went 3-for-4 with a homer and an RBI. Perez drove in two, Serven collected two doubles and an RBI, and Swift added a pair of hits and a run batted in. In total, the Aviators went 5-for-12 with runners in scoring position.

On the mound, Gage Jump struck out nine over four innings, allowing four runs. However, once he exited, the bullpen took over. Brooks Kriske earned the win with a scoreless fifth, and Elvis Alvarado, Ben Bowden, Yunior Tur and Tyler Ferguson followed with four more shutout innings.

Together, the five relievers combined for five scoreless frames, allowing just one hit while preserving the early advantage.
