The Silver Knights announced Thursday, April 16, that forward Tanner Laczynski, defenseman Lukas Cormier and goalie Carl Lindbom earned spots on the 2025-26 AHL Second All-Star Team. According to the team, AHL players, coaches and media members voted on the selections, and it marks the first end-of-year All-Star Team honor of each player’s AHL career.

Laczynski has driven Henderson’s offense

Laczynski, 28, enters the final weekend with 22 goals, 42 assists and 64 points in 61 games, all career highs. In addition, he is tied for sixth in AHL scoring and leads the league at plus-37.

He also set a single-season franchise record for assists and is tied for the single-season points record. Plus, he represented the Silver Knights at the AHL All-Star festivities this season.

Cormier has produced like a top defenseman

Cormier, 24, has eight goals, 39 assists and 47 points in 49 games. He ranks third among AHL defensemen in scoring, and he is the only player in the top 15 at his position with fewer than 50 games played.

He is also on pace to set franchise records in assists and points by a defenseman. Moreover, the 2020 third-round pick of the Vegas Golden Knights ranks second all-time in Silver Knights assists (89) and third all-time in points (111).

Lindbom has anchored the surge

Lindbom, 22, owns a 24-5-4 record, tied for fifth in the AHL in wins. He also ranks second in the league in goals-against average (2.20) and save percentage (.924).

Since Feb. 14, he is 18-0-1 with a 2.29 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. As a result, he set a single-season franchise record for wins and now leads the franchise in career wins.

He also made his NHL debut with the Golden Knights this season and earned his first two NHL wins.

McLain’s award highlights the room’s standards

On April 14, the Silver Knights named forward Mitch McLain as the team’s IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year for his community impact during the 2025-26 season.

“Mitch is a player who cares a great deal about his teammates and about Henderson,” head coach Ryan Craig said in the team release. “His work with special education, and everything he becomes involved with, makes a tremendous impact.”

According to the team, McLain supported the John F. Miller School in Las Vegas, a specialized program for students with special needs ages 3 to 22. In addition, he is one of 32 finalists for the AHL’s Yanick Dupré Memorial Award.

A home finale that fit the moment

Henderson closed its regular season home schedule Tuesday, April 14, with a 3-2 overtime win over the Bakersfield Condors. Trevor Connelly tied it early in the third, then Kai Uchacz scored on the power play before Raphael Lavoie won it in the final seconds of overtime.

Up next

Henderson closes the regular season with a two-game road set at Tucson on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. Those games will help lock in Pacific seeding, and the bracket matters because the AHL’s opening round is a best-of-3.

If the standings hold, Henderson would open the postseason in a best-of-3 series against San Jose, with the Silver Knights hosting at Lee’s Family Forum as the higher seed. That matchup already has a little edge after Friday’s 9-6 fire drill, and it could turn into a special teams test again, because both clubs can score fast and both power plays can swing a period.
