Today is Wednesday, May 6, and 3 days remain until the Las Vegas Aces open the 2026 season. At Dice City Sports, we are counting down to opening tip as the defending champs chase a fourth championship in five years while we rank the top 14 players in franchise history.

Jackie Young

Young lands at No. 3 after becoming one of the most complete guards in franchise history. Across 243 games with Las Vegas, she has averaged 14.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 46.7% from the field and 37.8% from 3-point range.

Her growth has been central to the Aces’ rise. Young was the No. 1 overall pick in 2019 and made the All-Rookie team that season. She became the WNBA Most Improved Player in 2022 while helping Las Vegas win the championship, then followed with All-Star seasons in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Young’s 2023 season showed her full value. She averaged 17.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 52.3% from the field and 44.9% from 3-point range. She earned All-WNBA second-team honors and helped the Aces repeat as champions. In 2025, she added another All-WNBA second-team season as Las Vegas won its third title in four years.

Why she ranks here

Young ranks this high because she blends scoring, playmaking, efficiency and defense while playing a major role on three Aces championship teams.

Background

Young was born Sept. 16, 1997, in Princeton, Ind. She played at Notre Dame and attended Princeton Community High School in Princeton, Ind. The Las Vegas Aces selected her with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft.

Career check

In 243 WNBA games, Young has averaged 14.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 46.7% from the field, 37.8% from 3-point range and 86.0% from the free-throw line. She is a four-time All-Star, three-time WNBA champion, two-time All-WNBA selection, 2022 Most Improved Player and 2019 All-Rookie pick.
