What began as a tweet has grown into a movement. Flavor Flav, a long-time supporter of women’s sports and Olympians, has organized SHE Weekend, a four-day celebration of women athletes in Las Vegas.

Flavor Flav announced SHE Weekend (Sports Hospitality & Entertainment) on Thursday, April 30. The event will take place July 16-19 in Las Vegas, highlighting achievements by women.

“Introducing: Flavor Flav’s SHE Weekend. Sports. Hospitality. Entertainment. July 16–19. Las Vegas. It started with a tweet. Now its a movement,” he wrote to X. “We’re focused on real impact.”

SHE Weekend Origins

The idea originated in February, when Flavor Flav sought to organize an event celebrating the U.S. women’s hockey team’s gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Clearly, this weekend is all about honoring women in sports.

“Many of y’all asked how you can support and donate to our female athletes and the celebrations, so I created a GoFundMe,” he wrote to X at the time. “I’m hopeful this can have an impact beyond the weekend and help those that represent the best of the U.S.” Supporting women is a core purpose behind these efforts.

As of press time, the GoFundMe has raised over $133,000. Flavor Flav has partnered with MGM Resorts to organize the weekend, which now includes all women’s sports, medalists, and athletes from both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

The weekend will feature celebratory events, opportunities for athletes to connect with potential sponsors, and several meet-and-greets for fans to engage with Olympians. According to FOX 5. In particular, women Olympians will have the spotlight.

The NBA Summer League will also take place that weekend, making it a busy time on the Las Vegas Strip, especially for women athletes visiting the city.

Flavor Flav remains a strong advocate for women’s athletics. He served as the official hype man for the U.S. bobsled team at the 2026 Winter Olympics and sponsors both the men’s and women’s U.S. water polo teams, helping raise funds for the women’s team’s participation in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
