LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Raiders are adding experience to their defensive front as the team continues preparing for the 2026 season. The Raiders are signing veteran defensive lineman Foley Fatukasi, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Fatukasi, 31, spent the previous two seasons with the Houston Texans and gives Las Vegas another experienced option along its defensive line as training camp progresses.
Fatukasi’s 2025 season was significantly impacted by a shoulder injury that limited him to just four games. Despite the shortened season, he recorded 1.5 sacks and one tackle for loss.
A year earlier, Fatukasi appeared in 11 games for Houston and finished with one sack, four tackles for loss and three quarterback hits. The Raiders will be hoping a healthy Fatukasi can provide both depth and a physical presence on the interior.
Plenty of NFL Experience
Originally selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Fatukasi has developed into a dependable veteran during his NFL career. He has appeared in 90 games with 64 starts, giving Las Vegas a player with significant experience against both the run and pass.
Fatukasi has built much of his reputation on his ability to occupy blockers and help clog running lanes, a role that doesn’t always produce eye-catching statistics but can be valuable to a defensive front.
Adding Fatukasi gives the Raiders another veteran piece as they continue constructing their defense around star pass rusher Maxx Crosby. For Las Vegas, the move isn’t necessarily about finding another headline name. It’s about strengthening the rotation and ensuring the defense has enough experienced bodies to withstand the physical demands of a 17-game regular season.
Fatukasi’s health will be something to monitor after his shoulder injury limited him last season, but if he can return to form, the Raiders could have added a useful veteran presence at an important point in training camp.
With the regular season approaching, Las Vegas continues to make adjustments to its roster. Foley Fatukasi is the latest addition and he’ll now have an opportunity to earn his place in the Raiders’ defensive-line rotation.
