This championship sporting event is expected to appeal to both sports enthusiasts and beer aficionados in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board of directors unanimously approved a $450,000 sponsorship for the Las Vegas World Masters Darts Championship and Beer Festival. This event will be held in July over the next three years.

The inaugural event, to be held at the Rio, is scheduled for July 14-19. Subsequent events are planned for July 2027 and 2028.This marks the first time the international competition will be held in the United States. The purse totals $86,850. This amount will be awarded over the six-day event.

“It introduces a niche sports event to the versatility that Las Vegas and Clark County can provide to their program. This really compounds the benefit and the value of hosting the World Masters Darts Championships in our destination,” said Jennifer Hawkins, vice president of sports business development for the LVCVA.

The 2026 competition will be the 50th edition of the event and will include divisions for men, women, youth, and girls. The 2025-26 competition was held in December and January at Alexandra Palace in London. Nineteen-year-old Luke “The Nuke” Littler is the two-time defending world champion. Littler, an English competitor from Warrington, Cheshire, is the youngest world darts champion in the sport’s history.

The LVCVA will sponsor the event with $150,000 annually over the next three years. According to LVCVA officials, the three championship events are expected to attract over 50,000 visitors and generate 35,000 additional room nights. Additionally, the event is projected to draw approximately 3,000 to 5,000 dart players annually. About 70 percent will be traveling from international markets.

Room nights associated with the championship events will be allocated across multiple resort properties in the area. The sponsorship will offer the LVCVA advertising, marketing, and hospitality opportunities before, during, and after the events.
