It has been the worst-kept secret of the Las Vegas Raiders that they are looking squarely at Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty in the draft.
New Raiders general manager John Spytek has openly admitted that his own son wants Jeanty to come to Las Vegas. Spytek was also part of the Raiders contingent that went to Boise State’s Pro Day in March, where he had a conversation with head coach Spencer Danielson. Everything continues to point in the direction of Jeanty as the obvious choice at pick number six.
As expected, Jeanty is expected to take a visit with the Raiders, but he will not be alone.
The Raiders have two high-profile draft visits to prepare for this week.
Along with the Boise State running back, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is also expected to visit with the Raiders. The news was broken by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Jeanty visiting the Raiders is no surprise at this stage, with him being routinely mocked to Las Vegas with the sixth overall selection.
The fit between team and prospect is quite clear. The Raiders possessed the worst rushing attack in the NFL last year, and Jeanty is the three-down bellcow back they still lack in their running back room. Using premium draft capital on a running back nowadays is a rare sight, but such is the Raiders’ desperation for a workhorse in the backfield.
Ewers is the more intriguing name of the bunch here.
Ewers was one of the quarterbacks the Raiders came away most impressed with at the Combine, and his visit only adds to the team’s rumored interest. The Texas product certainly would not start over Geno Smith, but Smith has a void year to his contract in 2027 and will turn 35 in October. Securing Ewers gives the Raiders a clear long-term solution under center, and they can do so as early as the second round.
Jeanty and Ewers visiting the Raiders does not lock them into picks by any means, but good impressions could go a long way towards them going to Las Vegas to stay in a month’s time.
