The Oklahoma City Thunder (64-12) will face the Houston Rockets (50-27) on Friday in a showdown between the top teams in the Western Conference.

Oklahoma City leads the season series 3-1. In their last outing, Oklahoma City triumphed over the Detroit Pistons with a score of 119-103 on Tuesday.

Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 33 points, helping the team force 19 turnovers. Oklahoma City has now won 11 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets showcased their prowess by overpowering the Utah Jazz 143-105 on Wednesday.

The Rockets dominated the rebounding battle, pulling down 63 boards compared to the Jazz’s 39, and have consistently scored at least 120 points in each of their last four victories.

Houston and Oklahoma City have consistently ranked among the top teams in the Western Conference this season, mainly due to their strong defensive play.

OKC currently ranks first in the NBA for 3-point defense and for the fewest fastbreak points and points in the paint allowed per game.

Meanwhile, Houston has been effective at holding opponents to a shooting percentage of 45.5%, which is the fifth-best in the league.

In their last 10 matchups against the Thunder, the Rockets have an average shooting percentage of 43.3% and score about 111 points per game.

Given another robust defensive performance anticipated from OKC, consider taking the under in this matchup.
