- What: NBA Regular Season Game
- When: April 4, 2025
- Who: Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors
- Time: 7:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Chase Center (San Francisco, CA)
The Denver Nuggets (47-30) will play the Golden State Warriors (45-31) on Friday at Chase Center.
In their season series, the Nuggets currently hold a 2-0 lead over the Warriors. They won their previous encounters with scores of 119-115 at home on December 3 and 114-105 on the road on March 17.
The Nuggets are coming off a difficult loss. They dropped their second consecutive game on Wednesday, a 113-106 home defeat to the San Antonio Spurs.
Russell Westbrook shone for Denver, scoring a game-high 30 points along with 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. The Nuggets are looking to avoid falling into the play-in tournament for the Western Conference.
On the other hand, the Warriors impressively wrapped up their six-game road trip, securing their fourth consecutive win on Thursday with a 123-116 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Stephen Curry led the offensive charge with 37 points, while Brandin Podziemski had an outstanding performance, making 8 of 10 three-pointers for a total of 28 points.
Although the Warriors are playing on the second night of a back-to-back and have lost both previous meetings with Denver this season, it’s tough to overlook a team that is performing so well.
Golden State is currently on a four-game winning streak and has been explosive offensively, averaging 129 points per game while allowing only 110.5 points. Curry has been on fire to start April, scoring 89 points over his first two games this month.
In contrast, the Nuggets have faced challenges recently, losing 5 of their last 8 games. The absence of Jamal Murray, who has been sidelined since March 26 due to a hamstring injury, has disrupted their offensive flow.
He remains questionable for tonight’s matchup. Additionally, Denver’s defense has struggled, ranking 24th in the league with an average of 116.9 points allowed per game.
With only 6 games remaining in the regular season, the Warriors are just 1½ games behind the Nuggets for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. Expect Golden State to maintain their momentum and secure a pivotal win at home.
I would take the Warriors to cover the small spread against the Nuggets in this one.
