- What: NHL Regular Season Game
- When: March 20, 2025
- Who: Boston Bruins vs. Vegas Golden Knights
- Time: 7:00 p.m. PST
- Where: T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas, NV)
On Thursday night, the Boston Bruins (30-30-9, 7th in the Atlantic Division) will travel to Las Vegas to face the Golden Knights (39-20-8, 1st in the Pacific Division) at T-Mobile Arena in a non-conference clash.
The Bruins are aiming to bounce back after losing their last three games. Meanwhile, Vegas, leading the Pacific Division with 39 victories, is looking to end a two-game slide.
Earlier this season, the Golden Knights secured a narrow 4-3 win against the Bruins in Boston.
Boston
Boston needs to improve its performance in the offensive zone. Fortunately, the Golden Knights are not currently at the top of their game, having lost four out of their last five matches.
During that stretch, Vegas has been allowing an average of 3.00 goals per game, which is higher than their season average. When the Golden Knights concede three or more goals this season, their record stands at 10-18-6.
If Boston can score three goals, they’ll have a solid chance of covering the spread.
The road trip begins.

On the defensive side, the Bruins have an opportunity to step up. Recently, the Golden Knights have only managed to average 2.80 goals per game over their last five outings, with three of those games resulting in three goals or fewer.
Vegas holds a record of 14-19-7 when scoring less than four goals this season. To secure a win on the road, the Bruins must limit the Golden Knights to three goals or fewer.
It won’t be easy, but given the Golden Knights’ recent performances, it’s certainly possible.
Vegas
The Golden Knights have already faced the Bruins this season, coming away with a narrow victory by just one goal while scoring four times. In that game, Vegas fired 38 shots on net, which significantly contributed to their success.
Their ability to control puck possession and apply pressure on the Bruins was key. The Golden Knights will need to replicate this performance on Thursday night.

Notably, they boast an impressive record of 25-1-1 when they score at least four goals in a game. If they can achieve that again, they’ll likely be able to cover the spread.
Defensively, Vegas is strong, allowing an average of only 2.70 goals per game, ranking them eighth in the NHL. Additionally, they have given up the fourth-fewest shots in the league.
On the other hand, the Bruins have been struggling offensively, averaging the sixth-fewest goals per game this season.
Their lack of scoring power is a major reason for their difficulties this year. The Golden Knights should look to capitalize on Boston’s weak offensive play.
If Vegas maintains their defensive prowess, they will have a good chance to cover the spread.
Bruins-Golden Knights Best Bet
The Golden Knights have won two of their last three matchups against the Bruins, including a 4-3 victory in Boston earlier this season.
Vegas’s defense has limited Boston to three goals or fewer in four of the last five games. While the Bruins have struggled on the road, losing over 65% of their games, the Golden Knights excel at home with a 70.6% win rate.
Regarding defense, Vegas ranks eighth in the league with 2.69 goals allowed per game, while the Bruins sit in the bottom half.
Offensively, the Golden Knights rank fifth in goals scored compared to the Bruins’ lower ranking. Considering these factors, a comfortable win for Vegas looks likely.
Take the Golden Knights to cover the spread in this one.
