Maxx Crosby Finished 4th in Defensive Player of the Year Voting

Crosby

Thursday night at the NFL Honors, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby finished fourth in Defensive Player of the Year voting. Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns took home the award.

Garrett finished the season with 14 sacks, 17 tackles for a loss, and 30 quarterback hits. He also had 42 total tackles.

Surprisingly, Crosby did not receive any first-place votes and only five second-place votes. He finished with 21 points, well behind Garrett, T.J. Watt, and Micah Parsons.

Crosby had 14.5 sacks, 23 tackles for a loss, and 31 quarterback hits while compiling 90 tackles. Crosby finished sixth in the NFL in sacks this season. He was third on the Raiders in total tackles. Crosby ended the season with 94 pressures and two forced fumbles. He also impacted games differently than what shows up on a stat sheet.

Crosby is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He has improved every year. Crosby does not come off the field; he plays everything down without looking tired.

Shockingly, Crosby did not get any first-place votes; he had a fantastic season and led an improved Raiders defense. Hopefully, Crosby can take home the Defensive Player of the Year award next. His time will come.
