- What: WNBA Regular Season Game
- When: July 14, 2025
- Who: Minnesota Lynx vs. Chicago Sky
- Time: 5:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Wintrust Arena (Chicago, IL)
The Minnesota Lynx and Chicago Sky will meet again on Monday. The Sky host the Lynx on Monday afternoon at the WinTrust Arena. The Sky surprised the Lynx with a six-point victory at home on Saturday.
Angel Reese (19 points, 11 rebounds), Ariel Atkins (27 points), and Kamilla Cardoso (17 points, 15 rebounds) had standout performances, helping to defeat Napheesa Collier and the Lynx, marking just Minnesota’s fourth loss of the season.
The Sky have bounced back from a slow start, improving their record to 7-13 overall, although they still sit at 12th among 13 teams in net rating.
Meanwhile, Minnesota remains at the top of the standings but has suffered a few recent setbacks, including a loss in the Commissioner’s Cup Final against the Indiana Fever.
Despite the Lynx’s edge over the Sky in nearly every significant statistic, Chicago has managed to compete well against Minnesota this season.
In their initial matchup in Minnesota, the Sky lost by just five points, and they secured an upset victory in their most recent game on Saturday.
Chicago’s record of 12-8 against the spread demonstrates its ability to handle large-point spreads as underdogs, even with some subpar defensive stats.
Reese’s recent performance has been pivotal in turning around Chicago’s season; the star forward has averaged 17.6 points and 15.5 rebounds per game over her last eight outings, contributing to the Sky’s 4-4 record.
Although Chicago has faced a challenging schedule with numerous road games, resulting in a 3-9 record away from home, they’ve managed a respectable 4-4 record in their home games.
While I’m not expecting the Sky to win this matchup outright, I do believe they will keep the game within single digits on Monday.
