The Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets will play in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Thursday. Puck drop will be at 6:30 p.m. PST at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg.
The Stars lead the series 3-1 after a 3-1 victory in Game 4, where Mikael Granlund scored all three goals for Dallas. Goalie Jake Oettinger made 31 saves, receiving chants of “Otter’s better” from the home crowd.
Connor Hellebuyck, a former Vezina Trophy favorite, showed improvement in Game 4 with 21 saves but has struggled overall in the series.
The Jets’ power play is faltering, going 1-for-16, significantly below their regular-season success rate. Nikolaj Ehlers scored Winnipeg’s only goal in Game 4.
Oettinger has been excellent with a .929 save percentage in the playoffs. He’s allowed eight goals compared to Hellebuyck’s 11. While Winnipeg is 5-1 at home in the playoffs, their performance in Game 1 was disappointing.
Betting on the Jets appears to be a solid option as they look to bounce back after a strong Game 2 shutout against the Stars.
Taking it one step further, betting on the Jets to win in regulation give us plus-money odds.
