Lady Rebels clinch a four-peat regular season MW title

The UNLV Lady Rebels complete the four-peat as Mountain West regular season champions, collecting a win against Boise State, 83-53.

The Lady Rebels are the No. 1 seed headed into the Mountain West tournament for the fourth straight year. This is a first in program history.

Amarachi Kimpson led the Lady Rebels, scoring 23 points and went 10-for-11 from the floor and was 3-for-3 from the 3-point line.

Kimpson also dished out four assists and collected three steals.

Meadow Roland came off the bench to add 16 points and six rebounds.

Kiara Jackson and Macy Spencer each scored 12 points. Jackson had four assists and three steals. Alyssa Brown led the Lady Rebels in rebounding with 10 and tied a career-high with five blocked shots.

Boise State was led by Natalie Pasco, who scored 12 points, and Dani Bayes, who added 11 points. Tatum Thompson and Elodie Lolotte led Boise State in rebounds with six.

Very early in the game, both teams were tied at 15. Boise State scored five to start the second quarter.

The Lady Rebels then went on a 10-point run to bring the score to 32-30 with 2:52 left before halftime.

With a minute left in the second quarter, the Lady Rebels increased their lead to double-digits 40-28.

In the second half, the Lady Rebels kept the momentum. They went up by 20 twice in the third quarter.

Next up, the Lady Rebels take on San Jose State on Saturday for Senior Day at home. The Lady Rebels will honor seniors Kenadee Winfrey, Macie James, Alyssa Brown, and Kiara Jackson.
