Continuity has never been a common theme with the Las Vegas Raiders in their new city.
Since firing head coach Antonio Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco days after the end of the season, the Raiders have entered another period of organizational turbulence. Their successors will inherit a roster with a fair share of issues, much less the lack of a true franchise quarterback.
The Raiders still have Maxx Crosby, however, who continues to prove that he belongs among the elite pass rushers in the league. Something that is also known about Crosby is that he is not afraid to voice his opinions on his team.
Crosby made a guest appearance on Good Morning Football on Friday, and questions about the general feeling in the Raiders’ locker room came about.
His response was one that may unsettle fans a bit.
“It’s very eerie around there, I would say,” Crosby said. “A lot of new changes and things like that, obviously with coach AP getting fired, and Telesco as well. … For me, I’m just focused on the day-to-day. A lot of things are out of my control.”

Despite everything going on with the Raiders at the moment, there is reason for optimism. The 2024 draft class looks fantastic, headlined by record-breaking All Pro tight end Brock Bowers, and the team holds the sixth overall pick going into the draft.
However, the Raiders have had their own share of pitfalls with the draft. For every Bowers that hits, the likes of Alex Leatherwood and Clelin Ferrell have been serious whiffs. The high pick does not necessarily guarantee it will be used in the correct way, so the next GM of the Raiders will need to have a plan.
The Raiders need a new regime that will change the culture of the team, and doing that will be the first step in ensuring the eerie feeling Crosby and the rest of the roster currently have goes away.
