The UNLV Lady Rebels (3-1) come into their next game against San Diego on a winning streak after defeating Stonehill in dominating fashion, 93-57.
The key to winning this next game will be to continue the momentum and it starts with leading scorer Macy Spencer. The freshman guard came in off the bench to lead the team with 20 points, playing 19 minutes and grabbing a career-high 4 rebounds.
The Lady Rebels can also capitalize off of their excellent three-point performance from the last game. They were only three three-pointers shy of a program record of three-pointers made during a game, in a seaon.
San Diego is coming off a nail-biting victory against Weber State, 63-66. The Toreros were led by leading scorer, senior Truitt Reilly, who is averaging 12 points per game and 8 rebounds per game. This will be San Diego’s second road game of the season. It will be interesting to see if being on the road again will affect their game. The Lady Rebels could take advantage of possible road fatigue.
If the Lady Rebels can stay consistent from the three-point line and their bench players continue to stay hot, and energized, they could continue their win streak.
This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams. UNLV Lady Rebels lead the series 6-0.
The Lady Rebels will take on San Diego tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Cox Pavillion.
