Week 1 of college football is underway, with the North Dakota State Bison, an FCS powerhouse, taking on the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder.

North Dakota State

Pressure is the name of the game for Colorado as they face North Dakota State. Despite the Buffaloes’ 4-8 record last year, they’ll pose a significant challenge for the Bison, who dominated at the FCS level.

Colorado’s offensive line is undergoing a major overhaul after allowing 56 sacks last season. While they landed top prospect Jordan Seaton, they must protect quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

On the other hand, the Bison’s relentless ground game and physicality could test Colorado’s defensive depth, potentially giving them a run for their money.

Colorado Buffaloes

The key concern for North Dakota State’s defense is whether they can match up against Colorado’s elite passing game. Colorado boasts a strong receiving corps led by Heisman contender Shedeur Sanders, which could overwhelm NDSU.

While the Buffs have an aerial advantage, it’s crucial for them not to rely solely on it. A balanced attack, incorporating a solid ground game, is equally important.

Defensively, Colorado must focus on containing Bison QB Cam Miller, who is dangerous on his feet but less threatening as a passer. Keeping Miller in the pocket is crucial for CU’s success.

Bison-Buffaloes Best Bet

The excitement around Boulder remains strong, even though expectations from outside Colorado have lessened.

Deion Sanders is aiming for a more balanced offense this season, with less pressure on his son Shedeur to carry the passing game.

The widespread fascination with Deion Sanders is an undeniable reality. Instead of disregarding or overlooking it, we can use it to maximize our betting opportunities.

While I believe Colorado still wins this game, a 10.5-point spread is too many points. I’ll take the Bison to cover the 10.5 points.
