The Philadelphia Phillies will start a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night at Dodger Stadium. The game will begin at 10:10 p.m. ET on MLB Network.
The matchup sets the stage for a potential pitchers’ duel as Aaron Nola faces off against Tyler Glasnow. The odds currently favor the Dodgers with a -130 moneyline and an over/under of 7.5.
Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies previously swept the Dodgers in a three-game series at Citizens Bank Park earlier this season, but the Dodgers will be looking for revenge in this meeting between two top teams in the National League.
The Phillies snapped a six-game losing streak with a 6-0 win on Sunday and will now have the opportunity to face the World Series-favorite Dodgers.
Despite the recent slump, the Phillies still maintain a six-game lead in the division, but there is a strong desire within the team to return to top form.

Bryce Harper made a change by switching to long socks for yesterday’s game, which seemed to have a positive effect. He had three hits and a home run.
While JT Realmuto’s performance has declined slightly compared to previous seasons, the Phillies’ lineup remains formidable on paper.
Their offensive statistics from last season and the current season indicate their capabilities, even though they have faced challenges recently.
The team’s performance against right-handed pitching has dipped in the last 30 days.
Still, Aaron Nola has been a consistent performer, maintaining a solid run of play with an ERA of 3.35 over his last 48 1/3 innings pitched.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Tyler Glasnow is one of the most promising starting pitchers in the league, backed by strong underlying performance metrics. However, his actual results on the field don’t fully reflect his potential.
In his last 47 innings pitched, Glasnow has an ERA of 4.21, but his expected Fielding Independent Pitching (xFIP) stands at an impressive 2.66, with a Fielding Independent Pitching (FIP) of 3.38.
During this period, he has struck out 11.49 batters per nine innings and limited opponents to a batting average of .199.
Despite these strong numbers, his ERA has been negatively impacted by a low strand rate and a high home run-to-fly ball ratio.

The Dodgers have been dealing with lineup challenges, with Freddie Freeman sidelined and Cavan Biggio filling in at first base in addition to other regulars missing games.
Although Freeman may return soon, given the team’s circumstances, there is no rush.
Post-All-Star break, the Dodgers have shown above-average offensive performance, with a 12th-ranked weighted run created plus (wRC+) of 112 against right-handed pitchers.
However, their highest strikeout rate in the MLB, at 27.6%, and hard-hit rate, ranking 25th at 29.5%, are causes for concern.
Furthermore, the Dodgers’ bullpen has been struggling, with an ERA of 4.69 and an xFIP of 3.98 over the last 30 days.
Phillies-Dodgers Best Bet
This upcoming series could be exactly what the Phillies need. Despite their strong start to the season, they have seemed somewhat disengaged lately.
With key players missing from the Dodgers’ lineup, the Phillies may have the upper hand for now. Although Glasnow is expected to perform well in the second half of the season, the game against Nola could still be close.
Overall, it looks like an excellent opportunity to get involved in what promises to be an exciting series. I’d take the Phillies to win this one on the moneyline.
