The Indiana Fever appear to be hitting their stride, while the Las Vegas Aces are returning to their championship form.

These two teams are poised for an electrifying matchup on Tuesday in Sin City, a game that promises to be a thrilling spectacle for all basketball enthusiasts.

The Fever have won five of their last seven games and secured their first victory over a team with a winning record on Sunday against the Mercury.

Meanwhile, the Aces are on a league-best four-game winning streak, with recent wins against the Storm and Sun.

Indiana Fever

Teams with the top draft pick aren’t expected to be very good, and the Fever struggled early on due to a tough schedule.

Their resilience and determination have seen them through, making the Fever a formidable team.

However, as their schedule eased up, the players became more comfortable with each other, turning the Fever into a formidable team.

Rookie sensation Caitlin Clark garners attention with her unlimited range and precise passing, but Kelsey Mitchell leads the team in scoring.

In her seventh season, Mitchell is averaging 16.3 points per game, recently scoring all 16 of her points in the second half of a win over the Mercury.

Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, has shown her versatility, contributing as a scorer, passer, and rebounder.

She averages 16.2 points, 6.9 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, with her long-distance 3s often energizing the team.

Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith are also scoring in double figures, with 13.1 and 11.8 points per game, respectively.

Boston, the top pick in the 2023 draft, has provided a strong post presence, averaging 8.3 rebounds per game.

Las Vegas Aces

The defending WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces, are back in top form after a slow start to the season, led by MVP candidate A’ja Wilson.

Wilson is averaging 26.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, along with 1.9 steals and 2.3 blocks.

Although she scored only 11 points in Saturday’s win over the Mystics, she had previously scored at least 21 points in every game this season, hitting the 30-point mark five times.

The Aces, who play at the fastest pace in the WNBA, also benefit from strong performances by Jackie Young, who averages 18.9 points per game, and Kelsey Plum, who contributes 17.3 points per game.

The return of Chelsea Gray, the “Point Gawd,” from a foot injury has coincided with the team’s winning streak.

Gray is averaging 8.8 points, four rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game, and she scored 22 points in Saturday’s victory.

Offensively, the Aces are the best in the league, leading in points scored and holding the second-best Offensive Rating.

However, their defense is more average, allowing 84.1 points per game, which is more than all but four teams.

Fever-Aces Best Bet

The Fever are coming off an emotional road win. They rallied from an early deficit and held on to secure the victory. It was an impressive showing from the young team, a clear sign of their potential and a reason for fans to be hopeful.

On the other hand, the Aces are beginning to resemble the championship-winning team of last season, with their superstar roster now healthy.

This matchup is set to feature a wealth of established and emerging talent. One of those stars, A’ja Wilson, is poised for a standout performance.

The Aces covering a 13.5-point spread seems unlikely, so I would go ahead and target the total instead. It opened at 170.5 and shot all the way up to 178.5. That feels a tad high, so I would bet Under 178.5 points at -110 odds.

Aces face Fever for the second time this season
