Caitlin Clark, who struggled in the first Aces game, shooting 2-8 from the field and ended with 8 points, 7 assists, and 6 turnovers, has improved significantly in recent games.Clark finished with 15 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds in their victory against the Mercury, falling one rebound short of her first WNBA triple double. Clark currently averages 16.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game.
Indiana has no players listed on their injury report, but the Aces do, as Tiffany Hayes is not with the team due to personal reasons. Kierstan Bell is no longer on the injury report and was a full participant in practice, so her comeback is anticipated shortly.
Without Hayes, Kate Martin may play more minutes, which would be fitting against her old Iowa teammate Caitlin Clark. Martin had one of her best performances of the season when the Aces faced the Fever for the first time, scoring 12 points on 3-5 from the field and collecting 7 rebounds.
Another player to watch out for is Chelsea Gray, who just had her best game of the season in her second start after returning from injury. Gray shot 8-9 from the field and 3-3 from the previous game, ending with 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
A’ja Wilson, who struggled last game for the first time this season, ending with 11 points on 4-15 shooting, will look to bounce back against the Fever. Last time these teams played, A’ja Wilson had 29 points and 15 rebounds.
The Fever will look to start July with a win, while the Aces will look to extend their winning streak to five games.
