It’s expected that Martinez will present a different challenge for Aldo. He’s essentially a good defensive fighter like the Brazilian, with a solid strike defense (58%) and takedown defense (69%). One can expect two patient fighters to take each other down in the ring. Martinez should stick to his game and watch for any incoming attacks from Aldo.
The Verdict
This fight will come down to who slips up first in the fight. There isn’t going to be too much reckless fighting between both fighters, with the two sides waiting to strike.
However, the hometown hero Jose Aldo should come out victorious. He’s the more experienced fighter and can beat Martinez at his own game. Don’t be surprised if this fight comes down to a decision at the end.
