Florida State University has expanded its recruitment efforts to Las Vegas, Nevada. The school is offering a scholarship to Zyren Menor, a 2028 four-star wide receiver from Bishop Gorman High School. Notably, Las Vegas is becoming a hotspot for emerging football talent.
“Honored and Blessed to have received an offer from Florida State University!!,” Menor said on social media, expressing his excitement about gaining attention while playing in Las Vegas.
Menor has received scholarship offers from programs across the country, including the USC Trojans, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oregon Ducks, Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, Miami Hurricanes, and Tennessee Volunteers. Additionally, coming from Las Vegas has clearly given Menor broad exposure on the national stage.
Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, Menor is ranked No. 92 overall and No. 13 among wide receivers nationally according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the top recruit in Nevada as a sophomore. Although he didn’t catch a lot of passes, he made them all count. He gained 577 yards on just 22 receptions (26.2 per catch) and scored 14 touchdowns. Moreover, many scouts have noted that his roots in Las Vegas contribute to his unique playing style.
