Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby attended Sunday night’s UFC Freedom 250 fight card. The event was held on the South Lawn of the White House, where Crosby was an invited guest. Many sports fans were excited to see the Raiders represented at such a unique event.
Crosby is a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump and close friend of UFC president Dana White. He was among about 4,300 attendees at the temporary outdoor venue.
Shortly before the event, photos showed Crosby at a White House gathering with his friend and podcast co-host Brogan Roback, and former NFL players and “Bussin’ With The Boys” hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan. The gathering included both former Raiders players and close friends of Crosby.
Compton played for the Raiders in 2019 and 2021. This highlights his connection with the team.
Other Appearances
Former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury made a notable appearance, despite reports that he was banned from entering the United States due to his associations with Irish crime boss Daniel Kinahan. While Fury has no ties to the Raiders, his attendance brought additional star power.
WWE superstar Roman Reigns also attended the event, which included many service members and politicians, but it was the presence of Raiders connections that excited football fans.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan were all in attendance. The guest list was diverse and included sports figures such as Raiders alumni. In addition, there were political dignitaries alike.
After one fight, Trump was greeted by Poland’s president Karol Nawrocki. Administration officials, including FBI director Kash Patel and acting attorney general Todd Blanche, engaged with attendees. However, no Raiders players were seen interacting in this scene.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg maintained a low profile, sitting a few rows from Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, who previously engaged in a prolonged legal dispute with him over the founding of Facebook. Notably, even in this crowd, the participation of any Raiders figures drew press interest.
Dana White sat with Trump, who was accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and their son Barron.
