Jones vs. Cormier Rivalry Reignites on Reality Show: “One Minute!” Challenge Sparks New Fire

The rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier refuses to die and now it’s playing out on reality TV. The two legends, currently serving as opposing coaches on the Russian MMA reality show ALF, are once again trading insults, reigniting one of the most heated feuds in combat sports history.

Years removed from their battles inside the Octagon, Jones and Cormier have brought their rivalry to a new arena coaching young fighters in a competitive reality show format. But with every episode, it’s becoming clear: nothing has changed. As tensions boiled over in the latest episode, a verbal exchange escalated quickly, with Jones taking things a step further. “I’ll give Daniel one minute if he wants one. One minute!” Jones said, standing up and challenging Cormier on the spot.

Cormier, however, wasn’t interested in revisiting their past through a spontaneous fight. Instead, he leaned into the history between them particularly the controversies that surrounded their previous matchups. “The debate should’ve been ended, with a needle in the ass,” Cormier fired back, referencing Jones’ past doping issues.

Cormier remained seated during the confrontation, dismissing Jones’ challenge as immature. “I’m a grown man… The man sits back and observes,” he said.

Jones, undeterred, continued to taunt: “Jones 3, DC 0.”

More Than Just a Personal Feud

While the argument centered on their past, it also spilled into their present roles as coaches. Jones emphasized his independence on the show, noting he arrived with minimal support. “I’m a one-man winning machine,” Jones said.

Cormier countered by highlighting his approach to mentorship and development. “I take the ladder… and pull people up,” Cormier explained. “I will leave the world a better place when I’m done.”

A Rivalry That Never Ends

Even after the confrontation cooled, the tension lingered. In a follow-up interview, Jones made it clear he doesn’t see Cormier as an equal rival anymore—but rather as a constant critic. “He considers himself to be my rival, but really, he’s just a hater,” Jones said. For fans, though, the dynamic remains compelling.

Legacy Beyond the Octagon

Jones vs. Cormier is one of MMA’s defining rivalries built on championship stakes, personal animosity, and controversy. Now, years later, it continues to evolve in unexpected ways.

No belts. No sanctioned fights. Just raw, unfiltered tension. And if this latest chapter proves anything, it’s that some rivalries don’t fade they just find new platforms.
