Shane Mosley Jr. may have just delivered the defining performance of his career. Mosley Jr. weathered the relentless pressure of Serhii Bohachuk before stopping him in the sixth round Sunday night in the main event of Zuffa Boxing 06 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

The victory marks Mosley’s sixth win in his last seven fights and easily his biggest statement yet. The fight played out exactly as many expected early:

  • Tight quarters
  • Constant pressure
  • Heavy exchanges

Bohachuk (27-4, 24 KOs) pushed forward relentlessly, trying to drag Mosley into a brutal inside fight. But Mosley stayed composed, landing cleaner shots and controlling range when possible.

Momentum Shift Builds

Mosley began finding success with his straight right hand throughout the fight. Near the end of Round 4, he landed a crushing right that visibly hurt Bohachuk and sent him stumbling back to his corner a warning sign of what was coming.

Round 5 turned into an all-out firefight, with both men trading heavy shots in a “phone booth” style battle. Then came the breakthrough. With about a minute left in Round 6, Mosley landed another sharp straight right hand that dropped Bohachuk hard.

Though Bohachuk managed to rise, he was visibly shaken. Mosley immediately swarmed him along the ropes, unleashing a barrage of punches until referee Thomas Taylor stepped in to stop the fight.

Statement Victory

For Shane Mosley Jr., this was more than just another win. It validated:

  • His recent resurgence
  • His move to Zuffa Boxing
  • His ability to compete with elite pressure fighters

And after the fight, Mosley wasted no time looking ahead.

Callout Follows the Win

Following the stoppage, Mosley called for a showdown with rising contender Callum Walsh potentially setting up another high-profile matchup under the Zuffa banner.

At 35 years old, Mosley Jr. continues carving out his own legacy beyond the shadow of his Hall of Fame father, Shane Mosley. And with a performance like this, he may finally be entering the biggest stretch of his career.

Shane Mosley Jr. wanted the biggest win of his career. He got it. Now, bigger fights may finally follow.
