UFC 328 delivered inside the Octagon and fighters were rewarded for it. The UFC handed out multiple post-fight bonuses following Saturday’s card in Newark, with four fighters earning $100,000 awards and several others picking up additional $25,000 finish bonuses.
Fight of the Night: Instant Classic
Joshua Van and Tatsuro Taira took home Fight of the Night ($100,000 each) after delivering a five-round war that will be remembered as one of the best fights of the year.
Van overcame early grappling adversity before scoring a dramatic fifth-round finish to retain his title.
Performance of the Night Winners
Two standout performances also earned $100,000 bonuses:
- Jim Miller — submitted Jared Gordon via first-round arm-triangle choke in an emotional return following a long layoff
- Yaroslav Amosov — submitted Joel Alvarez in Round 2, continuing his strong start in the UFC
Additional Finish Bonuses ($25,000)
Several fighters earned extra checks for impressive finishes:
- Baisangur Susurkaev — rear-naked choke win over Djorden Santos (opponent went unconscious)
- Grant Dawson — late third-round submission comeback against Mateusz Rebecki
- Ateba Gautier — second-round KO of Ozzy Diaz, followed by a bold callout of Israel Adesanya
- King Green — dominant first-round submission of Jeremy Stephens
Green’s win came with extra stakes, as Stephens missed weight, forfeiting 30% of his purse on top of Green’s bonus.
