Nick Holz is back in Silver and Black. After spending the past two seasons as offensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans, Holz has rejoined the Raiders as offensive pass game coordinator, the team announced Friday.
It’s a full-circle return for Holz, who previously worked in Las Vegas (and Oakland) from 2012 through 2021 in a variety of developmental offensive roles.
A Familiar Face in the Building
During his first stint with the Raiders, Holz climbed the coaching ladder:

Offensive assistant (2012–2014)

Offensive quality control coach (2015–2016)

Assistant receivers coach (2017)

Offensive quality control coach (2018–2020)

Assistant receivers coach (2021)
He then broadened his résumé:

2022: Offensive coordinator at UNLV Rebels football

2023: Passing game coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars

2024–25: Offensive coordinator for the Titans
Now, he returns to Las Vegas with significantly more experience including full offensive play-calling duties at the NFL level.

Given Kubiak’s system roots in play-action, wide zone, and quarterback-friendly concepts, Holz’s background in pass structure and receiver development could be a key piece of the offensive rebuild.
Why This Matters
The Raiders are attempting to stabilize an offense that has struggled for consistency in recent seasons. Bringing back a coach who understands the organization but now carries coordinator-level experience signals an emphasis on continuity blended with growth.
Holz isn’t just returning as a support staffer. He’s coming back with real play-calling scars and experience and that could matter as Las Vegas reshapes its offensive identity heading into the 2026 season.
