Fans Reaction To Jarrell Miller Losing His Man Weave During Bout

Jarrell Miller went viral Saturday night at Madison Square Garden but not for anything he did with his fists. Competing on the undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson, Miller faced Kingsley Ibeh in his first bout since a majority draw with Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2024.

Midway through the fight, however, Ibeh’s punches produced an unexpected result: Miller’s hairpiece was knocked clean off his head. Despite the adversity of losing his wig. Miller would go on to defeat Ibeh my split decision improving to 27-1-2 (22 KO).

Toupee Toss Ignites the Crowd

After the round ended, Miller returned to his corner, retrieved the dislodged toupee and then threw it into the crowd.

The reaction inside Madison Square Garden was immediate. Fans erupted, cameras caught every angle, and clips of the moment spread rapidly across social media, turning an otherwise routine heavyweight bout into one of the night’s most talked-about moments.

WBC President Gets Involved

The story took another turn when Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the World Boxing Council, was later seen locating the hairpiece in the crowd.

Whether the toupee was officially returned to Miller remains unclear, but by that point, the moment had already taken on a life of its own online.

While Miller came to New York looking to make noise in the heavyweight division, he instead delivered one of the most unintentionally memorable scenes of the weekend a reminder that at Madison Square Garden, anything can happen.
