Every year, Nice Kicks awards athletes and collaborators with 12 different titles, ranging from best men’s and women’s models to best shoe ad and collaboration of the year. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Anthony Edwards and Nigel Sylvester were all honored this year.

A’ja Wilson was honored for Sneaker of the Year for a women’s release, earning the award for her first public colorway, the “Pink A’ura” Nike A’One. It sold out thousands in its pre-release drop in Las Vegas. In fact, you could have caught Wilson signing pairs while checking customers out at Dick’s Sporting Goods. With the pink release coming out, she rocked a bright pink wig. It became a staple in the Aces community. Instantly, fans wanted to rock the same look.

Wilson was also honored with Women’s Model of the Year for her signature Nike A’Ones. This shoe took over the basketball community, with millions of fans buying pairs. Additionally, NBA players have also been rocking them on the court. The most notable NBA appearance was Stephen Curry wearing a pair of Nike A’One “Sunshine.” He wore them during warmups versus the Trail Blazers this season. Unintentionally, this cemented the A’One silhouette as one of the best right now.

Unexpectedly, Wilson remarked, “Stay tuned. The A’Two are on the way!” Fans around the world are waiting to see what Wilson and Nike can cook up for the Nike A’Two.
