During Bam Adebayo’s last postgame interview, he was asked who he goes to for advice during shooting slumps. He said he confided in former Heat legend Dwyane Wade. Additionally, he commented that one person he goes to lives with him. In this case, he was referring to Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson.

The couple has been making noise on social media, with constant funny moments and love-filled appearances to support one another. They were rumored to have started dating around mid-2024 before eventually announcing their romance in February 2025.

Adebayo’s confession about confiding in Wilson wasn’t just because of their relationship. It’s also because of her nonstop dominance in the WNBA. There aren’t many players who can fill her shoes, having achieved three championships and four MVPs so far in her seventh year. Many fans think basketball is solely about a player’s athleticism. However, it is heavily influenced by mental stability and confidence. A great example is Ben Simmons, who went through career-changing slumps due to mental health issues and a lack of confidence.

This season has been a major slump for Adebayo’s field goal and 3-point percentages. In fact, both have gone down from his prior season. Currently, he is sitting at 45.6 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three. Luckily, Adebayo has a great group in his corner cheering him on every day. It is just a matter of time before he gets through this slump and continues to be one of the best big men in the league today.
