Steph Curry is co-producing an animated film called GOAT. The story follows a small goat striving to pursue a career in “roarball.” The movie has a stacked cast, with names such as Stranger Things stars Caleb McLaughlin as Will Harris and David Harbour as Archie Everhardt. Additionally, Yahoo Sports reported that WNBA stars A’ja Wilson and Angel Reese will be in the movie.

Both Wilson and Reese voice two separate professional “roarball” players. Wilson voices a crocodile named Kouyate, while Reese voices a polar bear named Propp. This will be Wilson’s second movie appearance, with her first being in Space Jam: A New Legacy. She tries to keep it in the basketball community, working alongside LeBron James and now working with Curry.

This also marks Reese’s second movie appearance. She first starred in the Netflix thriller A House of Dynamite. In that film, she worked alongside famous actor Idris Elba. Both stars are looking to make some noise outside of basketball, adding to their ever-growing resumes.

“Goat” is Curry’s Story

This movie is about an undersized athlete trying to succeed in a tall sport. This resonates with Curry due to an old stigma that he was an undersized, injury-prone guard coming out of high school. For years, he carried that image until deep into his NBA career. Finally, fans and critics started to see that his height would not stop him. He blew past the negative comments and became the NBA’s leader in 3-pointers made. Now, he is renowned as one of the greatest to ever touch the hardwood.

With such a touching underdog story tied to one of the greatest players, fans are ready to buy tickets and clear schedules for the movie’s release on Feb. 13, 2026.
