The San Francisco Giants face off against the Athletics in the final game of their interleague series at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento on Sunday night.

After a lopsided 11-2 defeat in the series opener, the Giants bounced back with a 7-2 win, powered by Logan Webb in a game where they were favored.

Despite their struggles, losing four straight and seven of eight, the Giants have found their rhythm lately, winning three of their last four games.

On the other side, the A’s aim for their second consecutive series win after claiming two out of three against the Tampa Bay Rays earlier this week.

The Athletics have taken three of their last five games but have been generous on defense, allowing 34 runs over their last six outings, averaging 5.8 runs per game.

Pitching Matchup

Jacob Lopez will be on the mound for the A’s, hoping for some offensive support. He holds a 2-4 record but boasts a decent 3.88 ERA and 1.34 WHIP.

Lopez has been particularly effective at home, despite his 0-2 record, with a 2.74 ERA over three starts and two relief appearances.

The Giants now look to Hayden Birdsong to secure the series win, although it won’t be easy. They have yet to win any of Birdsong’s last four starts since June 6.

Take the A’s to win this one and win the series.
