Very few teams have the luxury that the Las Vegas Raiders do during the draft.
They sit in a position where much of the talent at positions of need will be available for them to take. Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is the odds-on favorite to be the selection, but the Raiders have numerous options to choose from. They could even elect to trade down to secure more draft capital and still come away with an immediate answer at any position they choose.
That includes at wide receiver, where one prospect must prepare to face some serious questions.
The Raiders are scheduled to meet with one of the draft’s lightning rods for controversy.
According to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Raiders are one of eight teams confirmed to have met with Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
Sources: Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan has visited the #Cowboys, #Raiders, #Chargers, #Patriots, #Browns, #Seahawks, #Panthers and #Saints. I’m told he has 3 more visits lined up as well.

There is no secret as to what McMillan can do on the field, which is exactly why he is considered the best receiving prospect in this year’s class.
Across three seasons at Arizona, McMillan has over 3,400 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also earned first-team All-American honors last season to finish his collegiate career. What McMillan has proven he can do is why many believe McMillan is worthy of a top-ten pick.
However, it would also not be surprising if many teams brought McMillan in for a visit to give him the chance to explain himself.
Earlier in the draft process, an old video clip resurfaced featuring McMillan saying that he hates the game of football and does not watch film by himself. For many head coaches, especially one like Pete Carroll that demands a high compete level from his players, that is an instant non-starter on a prospect. Teams already know McMillan has the skill to succeed at the next level, but they have also been burned by prospects who do not apply themselves off the field.
If McMillan has changed his attitude and the process now better reflects the on-field results, teams like the Raiders will be more than happy to place him back on their draft board.
