The Vancouver Canucks are on the road in the Southwest United States, facing off against the Utah Hockey Club at the Delta Center.

Vancouver

The Canucks are actively seeking ways to keep accumulating points as they vie for a top-three position in their division. Their recent 2-1 victory at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs demonstrated their ability to compete against strong opponents.

As they head into their next game, the Canucks are dealing with several players listed on the injury report, with four of them ruled out.

Despite this, defenseman Quinn Hughes, who leads the team with 59 points, remains pivotal for Vancouver’s offense. The team needs to find ways to capitalize on power play opportunities, which it is currently converting at a rate of 22.9%.

As the season progresses, it’s essential for the Canucks to maintain their positive spirit, highlighted by their offense averaging 3.00 goals per game.

Arturs Silovs has also stepped up as a key presence in goal, recording one victory so far along with an .847 save percentage and allowing an average of 4.11 goals per game this season.

Utah

The Utah Hockey Club, currently positioned fifth in the Central Division, needs to maintain their momentum as they focus on the Wild Card race.

In their latest match, they secured a hard-fought victory on the road in a shootout against the Capitals, demonstrating their capability to compete with playoff-caliber teams.

The journey to clinching a playoff spot won’t be easy. Despite having a couple of players on the injury list, including one who is questionable for the upcoming game, Utah is holding steady in that fifth spot in the Central Division.

Leading the offensive charge is right winger Clayton Keller, who has notched 60 points. They will also be counting on goalie Karel Vejmelka, who has performed well with an average of 2.57 goals allowed and a .909 save percentage.

However, Utah’s offensive production has struggled, averaging 2.80 goals per game, which places them 22nd in the league.

Special teams have also been a focal point of discussion, with a power play conversion rate of 22.4% and a penalty kill efficiency of 81.4%. This indicates that the Hockey Club will need to lean on their special teams to be successful moving forward.

Canucks-Hockey Club Best Bet

Both teams are coming off tough losses, but I like the Utah Hockey Club to get back on track at home against the Cancuks. Take the Hockey Club to win in regulation.

Best Bet: Utah Hockey Club to win in regulation at +100 odds.
