The Las Vegas Raiders appear to be closing in on their next general manager.
After moving on from general manager Tom Telesco, the Raiders have worked tirelessly to find a replacement.
Among the candidates who have interviewed for the job are New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown and Los Angeles Chargers assistant general manager Chad Alexander.
Both were interviewed by the Raiders last week, and the team must have come away impressed by what they heard from both candidates.
The two have been confirmed to be getting second interviews, with both Brown and Alexander meeting with the team in-person on Monday.
Brown’s in-person interview was confirmed by Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz on X.

Before going to the Giants, Brown’s most notable work came with the Philadelphia Eagles. Joining the Eagles as assistant director of pro scouting in 2017, Brown worked his way up the organization, reaching the role of director of player personnel in 2021.
Meanwhile, Alexander’s request was broken by NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
#Chargers assistant GM Chad Alexander will be flying to Vegas for a second, in-person interview on Monday, source said. Alexander learned under the legend Ozzie Newsome and was GM Joe Hortiz’s first hire. https://t.co/P1zkfJiup7

Alexander is a longtime veteran of the NFL executive world, starting his career with the Baltimore Ravens in 1999. He would work his way up the organization before later working with the New York Jets and Chargers.
Brown and Alexander getting second interviews means that the Raiders are getting close to finding the next general manager, and both will be in the running to the bitter end.
