The UNLV Lady Rebels and the Las Vegas Aces are partnering for a free sports clinic to celebrate the 39th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day event to take place on Feb. 1 for children in eighth grade and younger.

The Women in Sports Day Clinic will occur on Feb. 1 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. Spots are limited.

After the clinic, the Lady Rebels will take on UNR 2 p.m. at the Cox Pavillion.

The event will start with a sports clinic with various staff and players from multiple UNLV teams, and players and staff from the Aces will assist during the event.

The doors for registration will open at 10:30 a.m., and the event will begin at 11 a.m. with various stations set up on the Thomas & Mack Center floor.

Attendees of the clinic are invited to attend the Lady Rebels game against UNR for free.

All attendees will receive a rally towel and two tickets to the game. All children will receive free admission to the game.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day is celebrated all over the United States, with activities and ceremonies honoring the contribution that women in sports have made to society.

The celebration began in 1987.
