The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will head to Fort Collins, Colo. to take on the Colorado State Rams on Saturday.
The tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. PST.
The game will be televised on the Mountain West Network.
The Runnin’ Rebels (9-6, 3-1 MW) are looking for a 4-1 start since the 2019-20 season.
The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels have four players currently scoring in double-digits. Guard Dedan Thomas, Jr. leads the Runnin’ Rebels in scoring averaging 15.9 points per game. Jeremiah Cherry, Julian Rishwain, Jaden Henley, and Jailen Bedford are all averaging between 9.1 and 11.3 points per game. Jeremiah Cherry leads the team in rebounds and blocks, averaging 5.7 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks per game.
In their loss to Boise State on Tuesday, the Runnin’ Rebels were clearly outhustled by the Broncos in almost every facet of the game. The Broncos outrebounded the Runnin’ Rebels 38-2, collected 13 offensive rebounds and converted them to 16 second-chance points. Boise State also managed 20 points off 14 UNLV turnovers. Jeremiah Cherry led the Runnin’ Rebels in rebounds with five. In the paint, the Broncos also led 40-22.
The Rams (9-6, 3-1) are coming into this game, winning two straight games and four of their last five.
UNLV must look out for Nique Clifford. He averages 16.9 points per game and leads the Rams and the Mountain West in rebounds with 10.3 per game.
The Runnin’ Rebels have to minimize their turnovers against the Rams and rely on their big four to stay consistent from the floor.
UNLV has shot above 50 percent three times this season.
