BREAKING: Raiders Trade Davante Adams To The Jets

Breaking news, Davante Adams finally gets his wish. The Las Vegas Raiders are trading him to the New York Jets for a conditional third-round draft pick that could improve to a second-round selection, sources told Schefter. For the pick to improve to a second-rounder, Adams must be a first- or second-team All-Pro this season or be on the Jets’ active roster for the AFC Championship Game or Super Bowl.

The breaking news didn’t really surprise a lot of folks. As Adams relationship has soured with Raiders Head Coach Antonio Pierce recently. Adams has been linked with rumors in the off season to reuniting with former long time teammate Aaron Rodgers. From 2014-2021 here is the star tandems stats when they were in Green Bay.

“We’re back, man,” Adams said while briefly joining Rodgers at the Jets’ facility in Florham Park, New Jersey, for the quarterback’s weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” “We’re back.”

Rodgers was clearly excited to have him favorite receiver back with him. “Obviously, I’m really excited,” Rodgers said, adding: “It’s on us now. We’re going all-in.”

This trade by the Jets is a clear win now move. The organization believes with this trade that they could make a serious run for the division and the playoffs. After the breaking news made it shockwaves throughout the New York media. Jets owner Woody Johnson was asked if the season was salvageable by a reporter. “Salvageable? We’re going to kick — you can add the words after that,” he told reporters. “We’re going to do really well.”

Jets debut on Sunday?

Adams is expected to make his debut on Sunday versus the Pittsburg Steelers but Interim Head Coach was mum on the status of Adams. “I hope so, but it’s too early to assess right now,” Ulbrich said of Adams’.
